Hello Friends,
Well, here we are at the wrap up for 2023. I'm sure that you are all just like me, and now completely ready for the impending festivities (ahem, ahem!).
My two boys are already well in the Christmas mood with my youngest repeatedly running around the house singing a mashup of Jingle Bells and Rudolf the Rednose Reindeer. My eldest thinks this is utterly horrendous and so spends most of the time hiding from him and finessing his list for Santa. Oh, it's the most wonderful time of the year!
To beer! Great news as this month has seen the return of a favourite of mine and the staff here at Tallboy Towers. Fruitilicious fruit tea sour is back again and is as awesome as it was last time we brewed it.
It builds on the solid sour base that brims with stone fruit and citrus but it's been steeped up with a custom tea blend of hibiscus, apple, rosehip, orange peel, raspberry and strawberry. It pours slightly blush, with a fruity thwack and ultra refreshing acidity.
In other great news, my brewer Jack has just brought his first Tallboy and Moose beer baby into the world. Much like Jack, it is called Silly Goose as it is an 8% double IPA.
It presents pine and resin but with some beautiful tropical fruit notes and pithy citrus. The body is big and juicy with a soft bitterness making it a dangerously quaffable addition to the taproom line up.
